It’s completely normal for bras in the same size to have slightly different band lengths. This can happen for a few reasons, depending on whether you are comparing different models or two bras of the same model.
1. Different models, different materials
Each Miss Mary bra is made from its own unique combination of fabrics, laces and elastics. Because every material stretches and behaves differently, the lower edge will not always measure exactly the same between models, even if the size label is identical. Every model is carefully tested and adjusted to ensure the perfect fit and support for that specific design and size.
2. Handmade craftsmanship with sewing machines
All our bras are sewn by skilled seamstresses using sewing machines. As with any handmade garment, a small production tolerance is completely normal. The accepted variation is ±1.5 cm.
This means that two bras of the same size and model can differ by up to 3 cm in total length.
3. Same model, same fabric – yet slightly different results
Even when every fabric piece is cut to the exact same measurements, the material can behave slightly differently when stitched, depending on who is sewing and how the seams settle. Some fabrics pull in a little more than others. This is a natural part of traditional sewing craftsmanship and does not affect the fit or quality.
In short, small variations in band length are a normal result of both material differences and skilled handmade sewing — and each Miss Mary bra is designed, tested and adjusted to deliver the best possible fit and comfort.
